Travelling by car with our four-legged friends is a wonderful habit, but their safety always comes first! 🚗❤️

With the upcoming changes to the Highway Code, our furry friends will also need to travel safely: no more moving freely around the car — safety restraints will be mandatory even when travelling with just one pet.

Whether it’s a dog or a cat, there are several options: a pet carrier, a separate rear compartment secured with a net, or a special harness attached to the car’s seat belt. This way, Fido and Felix can sit or lie down comfortably without moving freely between the seats.

And watch out for the fines! ⚠️ Anyone who fails to comply with the rules could face penalties ranging from €80 to €320, as well as losing one point on their driving licence.

So, whenever we set off on a new adventure, let’s remember that safety matters for everyone — including our furry travel companions! 🐾
